The Angel Gabriel visits Mary

Christmas Play

 On Thursday 10th December we will be performing our Christmas Nativity Play for parents.

We enjoyed watching Year 3 and Year 4 in their Nativity Play.
Next week we will watch Reception perform on Tuesday and Year 2 on Thursday, who will all be telling us the story of The First Christmas.
We will be performing for all our friends in school on Wednesday and all our grown ups on Thursday.

Next Sunday is the third Sunday of Advent.
The PINK candle will be lit and is a sign of JOY.

Tomorrow it is the Feast of Christ the King~the final day of the church year. Advent then begins the following Sunday.
Next week we will be making our Advent Promises in school and learning about the Advent wreath.
Why do we have candles on the wreath?
What colour will the cloth on our prayer focus be?


In RE we will be continuing our work on Prayer. We will be learning the Our Father and what these special words mean.
Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us. 

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Remembrance Sunday


In our RE work we are finding  out about prayer.
This month we remember the Month of the Holy Souls and also11th Novemeber~Remembrance Day, when we remember all those who have lost their lives in war and conflict. We pray for PEACE in our world. Sunday is Remembrance Sunday, and Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart and Holy Souls Church at
10 o'clock.
